Our Tech Exchange programme is an ideal opportunity and learning experience for anyone interested in gaining first-hand insight into the background running of a ceramics studio. This programme will help you gain the skills, experience and confidence in fulfilling the essential duties of a working pottery studio. In exchange for every 3 hours of technical assistance, you’ll receive an exchange reward. Full training and guidance will be given. Duties will include;
Reclaiming clay
Clay preparation
Mixing glazes and glazing pottery
Organising customers pottery
General cleaning and tidying duties
Preparing studio for classes
Days and time for tech work; Tuesdays 1-4pm
Exchange rewards: Every 3 hours of work entitles you to;
Firing of your own pottery per week. 1 kiln shelf (max height of 15cm)
Every 4 weeks of work entitles you to;
1 12.5kg bag of clay
Terms and conditions:
No experience in technical support needed as full training is provided.
Applicants must have provided at least 3 hours technical assistance before they can claim their rewards.
Applicants must attend an induction before the programme begins.
This programme can be terminated by both parties at any time.
