These sessions have been introduced to provide a space for potters to develop, flourish and explore their new love of pottery. These sessions are purely for independent studio time and no teaching is provided. You are required to know your stuff!
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings (term time only) Time: Any time from 5:30-8:30pm. You choose when to arrive and leave. Group size: Up to 4 Age: 18+ Cost: £185 (plus extras for firings/glazing) Duration: up to 3 hours a week for 5 consecutive weeks
What’s Included:
The use of all our tools.
12.5kg bag of our standard stoneware. If you wish to work with a particular clay that we use in the studio other than our standard stoneware, please let us know and we will discuss options with you.
A designated storage shelf as well as storage for your clay.
Tea/coffee
What’s Not Included:
Tuition or practical guidance/assistance. We will be on site but teaching in our throwing room so you will be left to your own devices.
Unlimited storage space. We can only store the pots which fit on your allocated shelf.
Use of aprons. Please bring your own.
Access to the kiln to fire your work. This will be done by us only.
Firing and glazing. You're welcome to bring your own glazes or choose from our selection, priced between £2.50–£4.50 per 50ml. Each potter will have their own dedicated kiln shelf to help protect everyone's work — kiln shelf hire is £10.(based on max height size of 20cm) Our kiln shelves are 60cm in diameter.
Our rules:
You are required to clean up the tools and equipment used.
You are responsible to pay for any breakages or spillages that might occur.
You are responsible for reclaiming and wedging you own clay.
You must be finished and cleaned up by 8:30pm
BOOKING PLEASE ENSURE TO SELECT CORRECT DATE ON THE BOOKING CALENDAR AND ADJUST QUANTITY OF PARTICIPANTS ACCORDINGLY. DATE SHOWN IS THE START DATE. YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SCHEDULED IN TO ALL SESSIONS WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE SAME TIME EACH WEEK. OUR SESSIONS ARE RUN IN TERM TIME. IF WE HAPPEN TO HAVE A 5 WEEK TERM WE WILL BREAK FOR THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AND RESUME AFTER.
