Studio info

When are you open? Opening times vary, depending on what workshops we have on. Our opening times change during school holidays. If you have attended a session with us we will let you know when we are open for you to collect your pottery. If you would like to pop in to check us out, please get in touch and we can arrange a time.
 
​What should i expect? Expect the sound of birds singing, ducks quacking, the calming sound of the river and a beautiful setting to learn pottery. The studio is small and so only caters for up to 11 people. Tables are communal. The studio tends to be very calm but can sometimes be noisy during school holidays. 

Can we buy drinks at the studio? Unfortunately we don't provide drinks or food but if you come on a Friday or Saturday the wildlife park's cafe is open for barista coffee and homemade cakes. It's yummy!

Is there parking? Yes. There is a free private car park.  This car park is owned by The Westbury Wildlife Park and is shared with their visitors and the other businesses on site, so it is advised to leave a little earlier in case it is full.  Additional parking could be found on Trym rd, channels hill (next to the primary school) or pinewood close.

Where about's is the studio in the wildlife park? We moved building in 2023. The studio is now based in the heart of the wildlife park. To enter the park you will need to walk through the cabin at the entrance. Walk down the path and carry on down to the left when the path forks. You will come to two buildings. Turn to the building on the left, enter along the side of the building, over the pond and into a walled garden. Here we are!

What should i wear? Please wear suitable footwear. We are in the heart of the wildlife park so please wear flat footwear you don't mind getting a little dirty.  
Please wear clothing you don't mind getting a little clay on. 
 
​Are you wheelchair friendly? Unfortunately due to the nature of our location and the terrain the access to the studio isn't wheelchair friendly at the moment. However the rest of the park is suitable for wheelchair users. 

Do you have a toilet? Yes. The wildlife park has a unisex toilet and an accessible toilet.
