NOW FULLY BOOKED Cost: £30pp Duration: 1 session only Dates: Sat 17th Feb Time: 2pm-3:30pm Group size: Up to 8 participants Age: 6+ Suitability: Open to all ages and abilities
This workshop has been inspired by our recent mushroom exhibition as we have realised how much you all love mushrooms! One this session you will make a mushroom constructed using the pinch pot and coiling technique. Once constructed you will then decorate how you wish with a liquid coloured clay called slip. This is great because it means you can decorate on the day without the need to wait for the clay to be fired and arranging to come back for another session to paint with the glazes. We will fire the mushroom to become ceramic and then we will dip in a clear glaze and fire again to make the coloured clay become vibrant and shiny.

Cost: £30pp Duration: 1 session only Dates: Sat 6th April Time: 2pm-3:30pm Group size: Up to 8 participants Suitability: Open to all ages 6+ and all abilities
This workshop is great, as it is suitable for all ages and skill levels. In this workshop you will create three pinch pots and will be shown various shape forming and decoration techniques. Following construction, you have the freedom to decorate them with a liquid coloured clay known as slip. The beauty of this project lies in the ability to make your pot completely individual and personalised. Working with slips is also a great addition as it eliminates the need for scheduling another session for glaze painting so perfect if you can't find the time to come back to glaze. The pots will undergo firing to transform into ceramics, after which they'll be dipped in a clear glaze and fired once more, resulting in vibrant and shiny coloured clay masterpieces, ready to use a tapas bowl, trinket dishes or anything else that takes your fancy!
